It’s a last-minute creation..! Hope you will like it!
When the Waves touch the shore
And crawl back to the sea
I can’t help but wonder
Would it be you and me
I know I am the wave
I depart and I arrive
I curl into an embrace
I make you awake and alive
But tell me, oh love!
Are you the sea or the shore
One time you push me away
One time you pull me closer
Beneath the sea lie countless wrecks
Not a single ripple comes above
Waves swell and sway full of life
Lathered with devotion and love
The mad wave moves with fickle
Holding ocean in a tight embrace
Oh yes! You are the ocean
And I am the wave that comes in your arms
I love the way you question identity with this poem 🙂

The comparisons work well. I can feel the wave’s movement in your rhythm too. (K)
